What did one brush say to the other brush?...I'm bored!
Gordon Brush® offers a variety of
different types of bore brushes, also sometimes called chamber brushes, to help
you get the best clean every time and supply you with the right tool for the
job for which it is intended. A bore brush is a cylindrical brush to clean the inside of a
wall or bottom of a tube or a hole. The tube can be a pipe, a firearm, or any other
cylindrical receptacle that needs to be cleaned.
The selection of the correct bore brush to clean your
receptacle is based on several key factors/specs of your receptacle. These
factors include: the overall length, internal diameter (ID), composition, and
use. Another important consideration is whether the brush would need to be
attached to a tool to insert it in and out of the receptacle.
The type of fill material selected is critical to ensure
maximum cleaning and minimal damage to the internal composition of your
cylindrical receptacle. In some cases, the material of the block of the bore
brush is also critical to the pipe being cleaned.
Gordon Brush® designed and developed a chamber brush to clean
the main gun on the Abrams tank and for various howitzers. This bore brush saved the United States Army $1.5 billion. Gordon Brush® received
a letter of commendation from the United States Army Tank-automotive and
Armaments Command (TACOM) for the development of this brush.
